The movie „The Commitments“ was a huge success when it was released in 1991 and the original soundtrack sold 12 million copies. The lead actor and singer of the film, Andrew Strong became world famous and performed with The Rolling Stones, Elton John and Ray Charles, among others. A popular musical was staged in London's West End and countless Commitments shows have been produced around the world, including in Iceland where one of this event main singer, "Beggi í Sóldögg" took his first steps on stage and in following became a famous singer in Iceland. The Commitments live show is an event where all the main songs will be performed by a fantastic band. Actor Björn Stefánsson will tell a story of The Commitments as the bands agent. The excellent Dagur Sigurðsson and Stefanía Svavars together with Begga in Sóldögg will sing all the best songs with their pure talent, but a very special guest is none other than Andrew Strong, the main actor and singer of the film who is coming to Iceland specially to take part in the show.
